Telegram from Duff Cooper [later Lord Norwich, British Ambassador to France] to WSC stating that he has told Charles de Gaulle [President of the Provisional Government of the French Republic] of British displeasure at his failure to respond to an invitation [?for a French Mission to the United Kingdom and the United States]; and reporting de Gaulle's distress at the American demand that French [forces] leave Stuttgart [Germany] and the omission of an invitation to the French Minister for prisoners [of war], Henri Fresnay, to visit Buchenwald [Germany].
