Telegram from Field Marshal Sir Henry Wilson [Representative of the British Chiefs of Staff in Washington, United States] to WSC stating that General George Marshall [Chief of Staff United States Army] has commented on WSC's telegram to President Roosevelt [on plans for the final assault on Germany] and has indicated that much depends on Soviet plans and that he is not in favour of General Dwight Eisenhower's [Supreme Commander Allied Expeditionary Force in Western Europe, United States Army] thrust going further east than Leipzig [Germany].
