(Untitled), 02 Apr 1945
Scope and Contents
Telegram from WSC to General Dwight Eisenhower [Supreme Commander Allied Expeditionary Force in Western Europe, United States Army] marked "Private, Confidential, Personal and Top Secret" explaining that the tone of his last telegram [CHAR 20/213A/91-92] was partly the result of a misprint in his copy of Eisenhower's telegram [CHAR 20/213A/78-79]; emphasising the importance of entering Berlin [Germany] for political reasons; repeating an extract from a telegram to President Roosevelt expressing his confidence in Eisenhower; and hoping that any anxieties over plans for the final assault on Germany have been smoothed over.
