Telegram from WSC to President Roosevelt marked "Personal and Top Secret" stating that Oliver Lyttelton [later Lord Chandos, Minister of Production] and Colonel John Llewellin [Minister of Food] have left for Washington [United States] that day with the power to discuss the whole [food] supply problem; and recommending that General Dwight Eisenhower [Supreme Commander Allied Expeditionary Force in Western Europe, United States Army] is immediately informed of the amount [of food] which can be supplied so that he can plan accordingly.
