(Untitled), 04 Feb 1945
Scope and Contents
Telegram from Harold MacMillan [Minister Resident at Allied Force HQ, Mediterranean Command] (Athens [Greece]) to WSC marked "Secret" setting out the alternatives if the truce with the Communist rebels breaks down: either launching an offensive against ELAS [Communist-led Greek National Popular Liberation Army]; or remaining on or around the present truce line until Greek forces are ready to go into action; and asking for guidance, hoping for a meeting of all concerned on WSC's return journey [from Yalta, Soviet Union]. Annotated to indicate the message was repeated to WSC [Yalta] as "Fleece 149". Photocopy.
