Telegram from Harold MacMillan [Minister Resident at Allied Force HQ, Mediterranean Command] and Reginald Leeper [British Ambassador to Greece] to WSC and Foreign Secretary [Anthony Eden, later Lord Avon] marked "Secret" stating that they have seen the Archbishop [Damaskinos, Regent of Greece] who has informed them that the Communists are unlikely to give way on the question of a general amnesty, but that the Government will attempt to keep the Conference going in any case. Annotated to indicate the message was repeated to WSC [Yalta, Soviet Union] as "Fleece 148". Photocopy.
