Scope and Contents

Telegram from Harold MacMillan [Minister Resident at Allied Force HQ, Mediterranean Command] and Reginald Leeper [British Ambassador to Greece] to WSC and Foreign Secretary [Anthony Eden, later Lord Avon] marked "Secret" giving details of the Conference between representatives of the Greek Government and the Communist rebels: stating that the latter insisted on the entry of the KKE [Greek Communist Party] into the Government and a general amnesty for all offences committed during the period of civil unrest. Annotated to indicate the message was repeated to WSC [Yalta, Soviet Union] as "Fleece 138". Photocopy.
