Scope and Contents

Letter from Lady Wallscourt (Ardfry, Oranmore, County Galway, [Ireland]) to ?WSC regarding her property in Galway Bay, the use of which had been turned down by the Admiralty shortly after war was declared "I understood on account of the Irish Government consent being withheld", and offering the place now "possibly as aid towards the world's security, or other ways helpful for peace". She comments on her late husband's admiration for WSC, on the facilities available at the property, and on the poor state of the house. "Should the English government still have any interest, perhaps you could let me know, as I do not wish to deal with others.".
