Letter from Clutterbuck & Co (Clutterbuck, Trevenen & Mawson, Solicitors, Bank Chambers, Bank Street, Carlisle [Cumberland]) to Major General Sir Edward Spears [Conservative MP for Carlisle, Cumberland] (164, St Stephens House, Westminster, London, SW1) enclosing extract from Daily Mail of 5 Dec 1944 [see CHAR 20/200/26] and stating that "a great deal of harm is being done" and that "Some steps ought to be taken with a view to correcting what would appear to be a most erroneous impression as to recall which is current in this district".
