Minute from WSC to Secretary of State for War [Sir James Grigg] stating that there is no need to deal with this in detail at the present time [letter from David Robertson, Conservative MP for Streatham, London, regarding army leave and repatriation], "when everyone is occupied with more general matters". Rejects idea of an announcement that might cause confusion in men's minds, and states that he is sending no answer to Robertson. [Typescript] With annotation by Leslie Rowan [Prime Minister's Private Secretary] that he has informed the W[ar] O[ffice] and the minute need not go.
