Letter from Colonel Hugh Higgon [Lord Lieutenant of Pembrokeshire] (Cuffern, Roch, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, [Wales]) to Anthony Bevir [Prime Minister's Private Secretary] thanking him for his letter about the U-Boat and explaining that the situation has been saved, "as a U Boat which had a false bottom of tin brought from Japan, has been sent to Pembroke Dock to have the tin removed", that the Admiral arranged for it to be open to the public for 4 days, who "will not know that this was not the programme".
