Scope and Contents
Letter by WSC to Sir Edward Grigg [later Lord Altrincham] (Minister Resident in the Middle East, Cairo [Egypt]) marked "personal and secret" expressing relief that "Joan" [Lady Grigg] "is none the worse for the attack" but stating his disapproval that she went into the desert without a proper guard. Initialled, with pencil addition in hand of John Martin [Prime Minister's Principal Private Secretary] suggesting additional paragraph regarding award of Barony to Grigg in Dissolution Honours.
