Letter from Air Marshal Sir Arthur Coningham [Air Officer Commander in Chief Second Tactical Air Force] to Commander Charles Thompson [Personal Assistant to the Minister of Defence] asking him to convey his warmest felicitations to WSC during these days of victory: remarks on WSC's kindness to him at all times; asks that his duty be presented to CSC; states that he saw a very happy Mary [Mary Churchill later Mary Soames later Lady Soames] in Brussels [Belgium] on VE Day and that he has heard Paris [France] is waiting to welcome her today [manuscript].
