Scope and Contents
Copy of a government paper for the Joint Administrative Planning Staff of the War Cabinet marked "Top Secret" entitled "Shipping Implications of Far East Strategies" including a report by the Joint Administrative Planning Staff concluding that an examination of the shipping cost showed it to be approximately the same for either the "Bay of Bengal" or "Pacific" Strategies [as the centre of gravity for British and Imperial war effort against Japan], although the latter was more costly in tankers; and a minute from the Chiefs of Staff suggesting the line to be taken in the discussions on the Far East Strategy with the Dominion Prime Ministers.
