Morton includes a summary of reports [about ?Colvin] from various government representatives including "C" Major-General Sir Stewart Menzies [Head of the Secret Intelligence Service, MI6] noting that [?Colvin] is believed to have been the cause of the 1939 "Stanhope crisis" and comments that [?Colvin] "has worked in a number of different jobs...[and] never stayed long.
