Scope and Contents
Telegram from WSC (Quadrant [Quebec Conference, Canada)] to Sir John Anderson [later 1st Lord Waverley] (Lord President of the Council) marked "Private and Personal" informing him of the suggested next steps for the Tube alloys project [atomic bomb research], stating that it has been proposed that British Scientists should be sent to the United States and noting why problems arose before with Sir Wallace Akers [Director of Atomic Energy Research, under Department of Industrial and Scientific Research] asking his opinion on this matter.
