Letter from WSC to Averell Harriman marked "Most secret" stating that he had hoped that the increase in the United States production which followed Britain's increased acceptance would all be 76 mm tanks and that he had hoped that the addition of 1000 would have increased their share which was expected to be 60% of their programme of tanks with 76 mm guns and that now Britain's share of these tanks was now to be a matter of assignment he would have to accept the difficulty of segregating the last 1000 Initialled.
