Telegram from WSC (Washington [United States]) to Brigadier Leslie Hollis [Senior Assistant Secretary of the War Cabinet] asking for information to answer the charge that we have had nothing to face the 88mm gun and stating that the Chief of the Imperial General Staff [General Alan Brooke, later Lord Alanbrooke] has declared that there were at least four regiments of long range 50-pdr gun howitzers with the Eighth Army.
