Telegram from [General Harold] Alexander [later Lord Alexander of Tunis, Commander in Chief Middle East] to WSC marked "personal" in which he passes on reports from the Western Desert that there is great satisfaction with Sherman [tanks] as the position of their guns permits them to be concealed and that they are successfully destroying enemy tanks at a range of 2,000 yards.
