Scope and Contents
Telegram from Prime Minister of Australia [John Curtin] to WSC marked "most secret" outlining the manpower needs for land, navy and air forces in Australia and New Guinea [later Papua New Guinea and part of Indonesia], including the unanimous conclusion of the Advisory War Council that the government should call for the early return to Australia of the Ninth Division of the Australian Imperial Force from the Middle East.
