(Untitled), 14 Jul 1942
Scope and Contents
Telegram from WSC to President Roosevelt marked "absolutely personal and secret" regarding joint operations: states that he has found no-one who regards "Sledgehammer" [Codename for plan to attack coast of France in 1942] as possible; states that he would like to do "Gymnast" [Codename for operations in French North West Africa] and to try for "Jupiter" [Codename for operation in Northern Norway]; believes that preparations for "Round-Up" [Codename for the liberation of Europe] should proceed at full blast.
