Telegram from General Sir Archibald Wavell [Commander in Chief India] to WSC marked "personal" reporting on his discussions at Colombo [Ceylon, later Sri Lanka] on 19 June with Admiral James Somerville [Commander in Chief Eastern Fleet], Air Chief Marshal Richard Peirse [Air Officer Commander in Chief India], Admiral Geoffrey Layton [Commander in Chief Ceylon] and General Harold Alexander [formerly General Officer Commanding Burma] regarding the possibility of operations against Burma [later Myanmar] and stating that Alexander will leave for United Kingdom on 23 Jun with details.
