Telegram from WSC to Lord Halifax [British Ambassador to the United States, earlier Edward Wood and Lord Irwin] regarding the visit of Herbert Evatt [Australian Minister for External Affairs and Attorney General] to the United States: hopes that Halifax will ensure that the President of the United States [Franklin Roosevelt] does not overlook British views; states that Britain has no objection to any facilities the United States may offer Australia on the Pacific War Council, but it is for the Australians to overcome any difficulties.
