Telegram from WSC to Prime Minister of New Zealand [Peter Fraser] regarding troops stationed in Britain: states that troops from the United States brought to Britain are not fully trained and are used to set free British divisions for service in the Middle East and Far East; explains that it is only a shortage of troop-carrying tonnage that keeps British divisions at home; grieves that it is necessary to use the New Zealand Division again so soon; expresses desire to work all New Zealand and Australian troops back into the Japanese theatre. [See CHAR 20/69B/152 for Fraser's query on troops in Britain].
