Letter from Randolph Churchill to WSC on his exploits in a secret mission to block the harbour of occupied Benghazi [Libya], with others including his commander David Stirling and Fitzroy Maclean, with manuscript postscript on his accident and health and typescript extracts from the letter; also includes covering correspondence between [Arthur] Brian Boyle [Military Assistant to Chief of Imperial General Staff] and Leslie Rowan and Francis Brown [Private Secretaries to WSC] forwarding copies of the letter to Vice-Chief of Imperial General Staff [Major-General Archibald Nye], CSC, Pamela Churchill [earlier Pamela Digby, later Pamela Harriman] and General Sir Alan Brooke, Chief of Imperial General Staff [later 1st Lord Alanbrooke] and acknowledgement from Brooke.
