Notes and correspondence concerning enclosed memorandum by Captain Bernard Acworth advocating peace with Japan; referred by Leslie Rowan [Private Secretary to WSC] to Ministry of Information, Home Office and the Chief Whip, with letters from Brendan Bracken [Minister of Information], Herbert Morrison, Home Secretary [and Minister of Home Security] and James Stuart [Chief Whip]; note from WSC to Bracken asking for supervision of a public meeting held by Acworth, and Metropolitan Police Special Branch report on the meeting, annotated by WSC; also includes (folio 4, 6 March 1942) a congratulatory note from A V Alexander [First Lord of the Admiralty].
