Telegram from WSC to the Duke of Windsor [earlier Edward, Prince of Wales, and King Edward VIII, Governor and Commander in Chief of the Bahamas] giving advice on the content of the Duke's speech to the Dollar Press Club in Washington [United States]: suggesting commenting on the Duke's life in the Bahamas, British-US relations, President [Franklin Roosevelt], the joint occupation of Iceland, and relations with the Soviet Union and China. Annotated [in the hand of Prime Minister's Private Secretary, John Peck]. Preceded by a letter [from the Private Office] to [Valentine] Lawford (Foreign Office) asking him to show the draft telegram to the Foreign Secretary [Anthony Eden, later 1st Lord Avon]. Carbon copy.
