Minute from "A E" [Anthony Eden, later 1st Lord Avon, Foreign Secretary] (Foreign Office) to WSC on the Duke of Windsor's [earlier Edward, Prince of Wales, and King Edward VIII, Governor and Commander in Chief of the Bahamas] proposed visit to Canada, enclosing telegrams between [Lord] Cranborne [earlier Robert Gascoyne Cecil, later 5th Lord Salisbury, Secretary of State for the Dominions] and United Kingdom High Commissioner in Canada [Malcolm MacDonald], and stating that he has asked [Sir Walter] Monckton to say no to the Duke. Initialled minute dated 8 July with annotations by Eden and WSC and copies of the earlier documents.
