Letter form WSC to the Duke of Windsor [earlier King Edward VIII and Edward, Prince of Wales] expressing confidence that the Windsors "will lend a distinction and dignity to the Governorship" [of the Bahamas]; advises the duke not to visit the United States until after the Presidential election; counsels that a public servant may not express personal opinions about the war which differ from those of His Majesty's Government, recalls rumours surrounding the duke in Lisbon [Portugal]; includes filing note.
