Letter from M Jebb Scott, Honorary Secretary of the Ladies' Emergency Committee of the Navy League, to Edward Marsh [Private Secretary to WSC, stating that their work of sending "warm comforts" to the fleet would soon slacken off, and that she wished to keep her committee busy through the summer. Scott claims that her committee was doing the best organised work in London, and asks Marsh to find them a job, concluding "we are not suffragettes!". Includes note between Marsh and Oswyn Murray, Assistant Secretary, Admiralty, with Murray regretting that he could not suggest any work for them.
