Letter from David Lloyd George [Chancellor of the Exchequer] to WSC [First Lord of the Admiralty] on that day's Cabinet discussion on the political and military situation in Eastern Europe: Lloyd George passes on the Cabinet's decision not to send in ships if France and Russia did not, in order to give Austria a free hand; explains his fears that a naval failure could mean the end of the Triple Entente; and his decision to support the policy of Sir Edward Grey [Foreign Secretary]. [Marked "Secret", hand-written (not by Lloyd George), but signed by him].
