Scope and Contents
Letter from Sidney Harris [Under Secretary of State, Home Office] to Mr Mylius concerning the case of [Ex-Inspector John] Syme. He asks whether the editor of the Police Review and Parade Gossip, [John] Kempster, has definitely refused to publish the judgement reached in the case, and tells Mylius to forward the letter to Sir Edward Henry [Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police] if he is unable to answer. Signed manuscript with note by Sir Edward Henry asking Mylius to obtain a statement concerning Kempster's intentions from Mr [George] Edwards. See CHAR 12/7/15-16.
