Page from the Liverpool Daily Post and Mercury containing an article entitled "An Alderman Gone Wrong" which discusses Alderman Salvidge's actions regarding the post of Stipendiary Magistrate in Liverpool, alleging that he was motivated by the fear that the position might be filled by a Liberal, despite the fact that the present Liberal Government has not been influenced by nepotism in making appointments.
