Scope and Contents
Letter from Kenneth Henderson, Legal Department, Associated Newspapers Limited, Carmelite House, London EC4, to WSC on the out of court settlement between Randolph Churchill and Sir Thomas White, for libel in the Wavertree [Liverpool] by-election [in which Randolph agreed to pay damages of 1,000 pounds]. Commenting that Randolph's prestige as a journalist and politician had not suffered, and the report in the Times made it quite clear that he did not grovel in any way.
