(Untitled), 08 Nov 1935
Scope and Contents
Letter from Oliver Locker-Lampson, Midland Hotel, Birmingham to WSC, congratulations on work during election campaign. Suggesting that he should not make a speech on the Eve of the Poll, when journalists were weary, and did not have the time or space to report him in full. Suggesting that he should give another warning about national danger on the Monday afternoon, releasing it to the press by 2.00pm, so that it could be reported in the evening papers. Suggesting that he should repeat his warning that Hitler was watching the election, and wanted the Socialists to win.
