Scope and Contents

Letter from Admiral of the Fleet Sir Roger Keyes, (Lowndes Street, London SW1) to WSC, reporting conversation with H A Gwynne [according to Gilbert Sir Ralph Glyn], who had discussed "Times" leaders on the position of right wing Conservatives with Stanley Baldwin. Stating that Baldwin had no sympathy with the "Times" article, that he appreciated the value of right wing Conservatives, and that he intended to bring a fair representation of them into the Government. Also commenting on the naval situation, and the desirability of WSC being appointed as Vice Chairman of the Committee of Imperial Defence.
