Scope and Contents
Letter from Kathleen, Lady Simon (71 Addison Road [London]) to WSC, congratulating him on his speech on Abyssinia [later Ethiopia] and Italy and on his point that although they must sympathise with the Abyssinians, it is impossible to justify the conditions of slavery and oppression prevalent there, as recorded by Lady Simon in her book ["Slavery"], which the League of Nations has done nothing to combat.
