(Untitled), 23 Jul 1935
Scope and Contents
Copy of a letter from WSC (Chartwell, Westerham, Kent) to Admiral Sir Lewis Bayly, assuring him of his sincere respect and admiration, and of his pleasure in knowing how well- regarded Bayly was by the officers and men of the United States Navy whom he had under his command. WSC adds that he particularly appreciates his reminder of the Naval Review of 1914, and was glad to see all the old ships again; he hopes that those now responsible for naval design will do as well as they did, "so that all will be ready if danger comes".
