(Untitled), 11 Jul 1935
Scope and Contents
Letter from Pierre Flandin, Minister of State, France (Domecy-sur-Cure, Yonne [France]) to WSC, thanking him for his invitation to stay for a weekend, and regretting that because of his broken arm, he won't be able to come to England until October or November. He particularly wants to see WSC, as events are unfolding so fast and alarmingly regarding peace and Anglo-French relations, and he comments that WSC's brave political stand has been justified by events. Flandin also mentions the new crisis in internal French politics, which he would like to discuss with WSC, and asks him to pay a visit, if he should be in France. Manuscript.
