Scope and Contents

Letter from John Gretton [Conservative MP for Burton, Staffordshire] (35 Belgrave Square [London]) to WSC, suggesting that contrary to WSC's opinion that there would be no division in the Irish debate, the Government's reply might be so unsatisfactory that they would have to go into the division lobby as a protest. Gretton adds that he has written to the Prime Minister [Stanley Baldwin] about it, is sending a notice of the debate to all their friends, and hopes to get some of the press to mention it in their Parliamentary news, in order to call attention to the increasing importance of the Irish question.
