(Untitled), 18 Jun [1935]
Scope and Contents
Letter from Ralph Wigram [Counsellor in the Foreign Office] (Foreign Office [London]) to WSC, assuring him that it would be a good idea for him [to be guest of honour at the annual dinner of] the British Legion in Paris [France]. Wigram adds that he fears the French are going to get excited about the Anglo-German naval agreement, but that anything which extricates Britain from the disarmament muddle is to be welcomed, (especially as Britain bears the brunt on the sea) and that France will not regret it in the end.
