Letter from Lord Wolmer (later Lord Selborne), Liss, Hampshire to WSC, commenting on Lord Melchett's decision to support Government policy on India. Stating that Melchett would have been well advised to wait for the decision of the India Princes, as if they were to turn down Federation it would have to be dropped "and he [Melchett] would them look particularly silly".
