(Untitled), 22 Feb 1930
Scope and Contents
Letter from [WSC] to 1st Lord Balfour [earlier Arthur Balfour] (Fishers Hill, Woking, [Surrey]) promising to send him his articles on the battles of Tannenberg and the Marne, noting the failure of the bid by Lord Rothermere [earlier Sir Harold Harmsworth] and Lord Beaverbrook [earlier Sir Max Aitken] to dominate the political scene, and reporting that he has been informally told that a strong speech by him on naval policy would be welcome to the Government and he is therefore going to give one to the Navy League.
