Letter from [Sir Abe] Bailey (P O Box 50, Johannesburg) marked "private" about WSC's budget which he is sorry he will not hear. He discusses South African affairs, commenting that they are passing through the "infantile ailments" found in new countries and that the "women are working over time against everything & everyone English"; discusses WSC's finances; and predicts exceptional times in Rhodesia [later Zimbabwe] for cotton; and ends by expressing... sympathy on the death of CSC's mother [Lady Blanche Hozier].Signed manuscript.
