Scope and Contents

Letter from Arthur O Fisher (Wanley House, Eastergate, Chichester, [Sussex]) to WSC congratulating him on his appointment as Chancellor of the Exchequer and hoping that he will return to the gold standard, relieve the tax burden on the middle classes, and curb "the overpaid socialistic Board School teachers" who are "turning out young Socialists wholesale and automatically". Suggests that if the "dole" were paid out early each morning the current apparent unemployment would be reduced by thirty per cent.
