(Untitled), 07 Oct 1924
Scope and Contents
Statement for the Press Association by WSC describing how a full parliamentary enquiry into the dropping of charges against John Campbell would get to the bottom of the matter but arguing that the Government cannot agree to one being conducted because it would mean that parliament has no confidence in it. In an election this issue and that of the Russian treaty could be fairly represented as examples of the way in which members of the Government have been deflected from the right courses they themselves recognise by the influence of extremists at home and abroad. Therefore the forces of opposition should stand together. Typescript copy.
