Notes by WSC for [David Lloyd George] describing the changes he wishes to accompany his appointment as Secretary of State for Colonies, including the formation of a Middle Eastern Department of the Colonial Office to deal with Palestine, Aden [Yemen] and Mesopotamia [later Iraq, and parts of southeast Turkey, southwest Iran and Syria], a change of the name of the Office to reflect its new responsibilities for the mandated territories, and the appointment of a representative of the Office in the House of Lords. Copy in the hand of Edward Marsh.
