Scope and Contents

Telegram from [Alexander Murray, Master of Elibank, later Lord Murray of Elibank] (Edinburgh, [Scotland]) to WSC (Queens Hotel, Dundee, [Angus, Scotland]) stating that the Lords having twice rejected the Land Bill the Government is free to make further proposals on the issue. He is sending a copy of the Prime Minister's speech at Earlston [Berwickshire, Scotland] and mentions that he has asked [Sir John Dewar, later Lord Forteviot] to write on the shortcomings of 14th Lord Lovat's and 3rd Lord Camperdown's bills.
