Letter from G Wallace Carter (National Free Trade Lectures, 8 Victoria Street, Westminster, [London]) to James Caird (Roseangle, Dundee, [Angus, Scotland]) promising reports on the progress of the lecture programme and stating that the cost of a Free Trade shop in either Bond Street or Fleet Street [London] would be prohibitive. Lists the existing shops or depots for the sale of literature. Describes the financial difficulties of the Free Trade Union and the high expenditure of the Protectionists. Signed typescript.
