Letter from Walter Williams, honorary secretary of the Cardiff and District Free Trade League (17 Working Street, Cardiff, [Wales]), to WSC announcing the formation of the League and asking whether Lord George Hamilton, George Goschen, Charles Ritchie [later Lord Ritchie], Lord Hugh Cecil [later Lord Quickswood], WSC, the 8th Duke of Devonshire and 5th Lord Rosebery could address Free Trade meetings in Cardiff. Signed typescript. Annotated by WSC drawing special attention to the idea of Devonshire and Rosebery addressing a meeting. Also annotated in shorthand.
